This Neighborhood Cafe’ is an opportunity for all residents to learn more about what is going on with their water, gas, and electric utilities and what can be done to address them. Guest speakers from the utilities will provide first-hand details from the company point of view, while “gallery” tables will allow residents to get answers to specific questions they may have about their own bills and usage. As hosts, the Utilities Council will also offer many ways for residents to manage their own usage, as well as to be heard in the rate cases ongoing for all three utilities. It will be part presentation, part workshop.
The Verrado Utilities Council is a charter panel of volunteer residents, an advisory committee operating under the overall direction of the Board of Directors of the Verrado Community Association, Inc. We inform and empower residents on utility matters that affect Verrado and Victory through advocacy, communication, intervention, and workshops. See - About the Council
